The 4351B is specifically designed for copper Ethernet installations, featuring two 10/100BaseT RJ-45 network ports (NET 1 and NET 2) that auto-negotiate connection speed. NET 1 and NET 2 support TCP/IP, Modbus TCP/IP (master and slave), TSAA, and TriStation protocols. Additionally, NET 1 exclusively supports Peer-to-Peer (UDP/IP) and Peer-to-Peer Time Synchronization protocols, enabling direct controller-to-controller communication and distributed time coordination across multiple Tricon systems without external time servers. For applications requiring fiber optic connectivity, the 4352A/4352B variants provide MT-RJ fiber ports, while the 4353/4354 models offer enhanced features including embedded OPC server capability.

Align Module: Position the TRICONEX 4351B aligned straight along the plastic guide rails of the designated cPCI slot in the main chassis.
Seat the Module: Gently push the module inward until its multi-pin connectors make firm contact with the backplane. Apply firm, even pressure until the front faceplate rests flush against the chassis housing.
Secure Hardware: Fasten the integrated front-panel retention screws at the top and bottom of the module. Hand-tighten them first, then torque to exactly 0.5 N·m using an appropriate tool to prevent loosening from industrial vibration.
