The N-TRON 508FXE2-A-SC-40 is a Series Industrial Ethernet Switch designed for demanding industrial network applications. The 508FXE2-A-SC-40 features six 10/100BaseTX RJ-45 copper ports and two singlemode 100BaseFX SC fiber optic ports with 40km transmission range, providing versatile connectivity for Ethernet-enabled industrial and security equipment.
The N-TRON 508FXE2-A-SC-40 includes advanced management functions designated by the -A option. The 508FXE2-A-SC-40 supports IGMP Snooping for multicast traffic forwarding and filtering, VLAN for network segmentation, QoS for traffic prioritization, Trunking for port aggregation and increased bandwidth, Port Mirroring for traffic monitoring, and N-View OPC remote monitoring using OPC technology. The 508FXE2-A-SC-40 management functions are easily configured using the COM port (DB-9 connector) located on the right side of the switch.

The switch provides a total of eight ports: six autosensing 10/100BaseTX RJ-45 ports supporting full/half duplex and MDIX automatic crossover detection, plus two 100BaseFX singlemode fiber ports with SC connectors for long-distance fiber optic communication up to 40 kilometers. The fiber ports enable network extension across large industrial facilities, between buildings, or in environments with high electromagnetic interference where copper cabling is unsuitable.
