Schneider Electric BMEP582040H is a hardened standalone processor for the Modicon M580 automation platform. It combines 8 MB of program memory, 768 kB of data memory and optional flash storage up to 4 GB with integrated Ethernet and USB engineering interfaces.
The processor supports up to eight racks, eight remote I/O stations, 64 distributed devices, 2048 local discrete I/O points and 512 local analog I/O points. Its hardened construction is rated for operation from -25 to 70 °C, while the service Ethernet, two device-network ports and RIO/DIO scanner functions support the documented M580 architecture.
