The Siemens 6DD1611-0AG0 is a SIMADYN D MM4 Communication Buffer Memory Module (also known as a Mailbox module), primarily used to facilitate high-speed data exchange between processor modules within the SIMADYN D digital control system.
An MM3 can be inserted, together with an MM4 in a SIMADYN D subrackto use the large MM4 memory, and to utilize the buffered real-time clock ofthe MM3. In this case, the MM3 can be inserted at any subrack slot. TheMM3 memory is not used.
