          Compact ST20 processing with transistor output channels

          Siemens 6ES7288-1ST20-0AA1 brings twelve digital inputs and eight sourcing transistor outputs to the CPU ST20 configuration. This DC-powered S7-200 SMART controller provides 12 KB of program memory and two designated high-speed pulse-output channels, while retaining the expansion facilities of a standard CPU.

          Within its 90 mm-wide housing, the standard CPU provides Ethernet, RS485 and connections for modular expansion. The 5 V expansion bus and 24 V sensor supply have separate current limits, supporting a configured station whose power requirements are assessed independently from transistor output loading.
