ST30 standard control with DC switching and network access
Siemens 6ES7288-1ST30-0AA1 CPU ST30 combines eighteen digital inputs with twelve sourcing transistor outputs. The DC-powered controller provides 18 KB of program memory and three designated pulse-output resources, with Ethernet, RS485 and modular expansion supporting its standard S7-200 SMART architecture.
Built-in Ethernet and RS485 interfaces support network and serial communication within the configured project. Standard expansion accepts six modules and one signal board; their configuration and separate power demands remain part of the station design, rather than being determined by onboard I/O totals alone.

ST30 standard control with DC switching and network access
The ST30 combines local DC switching with configurable pulse and counter functions. The manual lists three pulse outputs at up to 100 kHz, while its high-speed input resources are assigned to particular channels and operating modes rather than every input equally.

Retain the project, pulse-output setup and counter assignments with the module configuration. Replacing a CPU can require more than restoring ordinary I/O addresses when fast functions, serial protocols or PROFINET roles are part of the application. Its single signal-board position is another configuration dependency.
Inspect the DC output load grouping and supply polarity against the approved installation documents. Do not treat a relay-output SR30 or serial-only CR30s as an equivalent spare; their electrical and expansion characteristics differ from this standard transistor CPU. This CPU provides one Ethernet interface and one RS485 port.
