The Vibro-Meter EA402 913-402-000-013 is a precision extension cable used in Vibro-Meter eddy-current proximity measurement systems. It serves as the connection link between TQ-series proximity transducers and IQS-series signal conditioners, maintaining the calibrated characteristics required for accurate shaft displacement and vibration measurements.

The EA402 is specifically designed for use with TQ402 and TQ412 proximity transducers. When combined with an IQS450 or IQS900 signal conditioner, it forms a complete proximity measurement chain capable of non-contact measurement of shaft vibration, axial position, eccentricity, and shaft displacement in rotating machinery.

The EA402 extension cable effectively lengthens the front-end of the proximity measurement system when matched with a TQ402 or TQ412 transducer. The total system length (TSL) is the sum of the length of the TQ4xx transducer's integral cable and the length of the EA402 extension cable. Supported TSLs include 1m, 5m, and 10m configurations, achieved through different combinations of integral and extension cables.

The EA402 features high-quality construction with FEP-covered 70Ω coaxial cable (Ø3.6mm) and self-locking miniature coaxial connectors that should be hand-tightened when connecting. Optional housings, junction boxes and interconnection protectors are available for the mechanical and environmental protection of the connection between the integral and extension cables involving the EA402.
