What is a DC bus choke?
DC reactors are also called DC reactors, which smooth the current flowing to the variable speed drive and reduce harmful harmonics generated on the power line. AC reactor/AC reactor can also play the same role as DC reactor, but compared with AC reactor, using DC reactor has many advantages.
Advantages of using DC bus chokes
Reduce the harmonic current, thereby improving the power factor of the drive.
Increase the life of the capacitor from a typical 6 years at full load to 10 years at full load.
Compared with equivalent AC reactors, it generates less heat, which improves efficiency and reduces panel heating.
In order to use an external line reactor to achieve the same effect, the voltage drop on the AC reactor is usually 3-4%, resulting in a decrease in the motor voltage at full speed.
