Description
WOODWARD 8440-2152 LS-511-5/P1 is a circuit breaker control and protection relay from the LS-5 V2 series, for back-panel mounting in generator paralleling and power management applications. The unit manages a single generator circuit breaker (GCB) or mains circuit breaker (MCB) in systems controlled by Woodward easYgen-3000XT/3400XT/3500XT series genset controllers.
It is configured for 5A CT secondary current measurement with 3-phase + neutral voltage measurement capability. The unit incorporates a 32-bit adaptive PID controller and supports both automatic and manual operating modes.
The relay provides comprehensive protection including over-/undervoltage, over-/underfrequency, voltage asymmetry, phase shift, df/dt (ROCOF), QV monitoring, time-dependent voltage, and mains voltage increase per VDE-AR-N-4105. Synchronization functionality includes slip frequency/phase matching, vector group adjustment, and configurable dead bus closure direction.
