The AAI543 can be used in dual-redundant configuration, enhancing system availability by providing backup output capability for critical process control applications. A dual-redundant configuration of the AAI543 is enabled by using two identical modules with the same switch-over response type (standard or fast). The AAI543 offers two switch-over response options: the AAI543-5/-E provides a standard switch-over response with a maximum period of 100ms when the field output falls below 4mA during switch-over, while the AAI543-6/-F provides a fast switch-over response with a maximum period of only 2ms.
