Description
The power section of the DCF803-0035 is a three-phase half-controlled bridge with free-wheeling diode, including snubbers based on the SDCS-FEX-4 board. The DCF803-0035 is prepared to operate as a 3-phase as well as single-phase converter; for single-phase operation, terminals U and W are connected. Line fuses and the line reactor and transformer for the DCF803-0035 must be located outside the housing, allowing flexible integration into existing electrical installations.
The DCF803-0035 features an autoscaling function of burden resistors based on the nominal field current of the motor, ensuring the current measurement circuit is automatically scaled for optimal accuracy. All parameters for the DCF803-0035 are set from the armature converter via drive-to-drive communication, and the field current reference, actual field current, current control, and status bits are cyclically sent via the same communication link. The firmware of the DCF803-0035 is stored in flash memory and contains the PI current controller for the field circuit, fault and reset logic, synchronization and PLL function, and the setting of the current measurement channel.
