The ABB GJR2368900R1550 87TS01K-E is a coupling module designed to bridge external computer systems with the PROCONTROL bus system. It provides a serial interface to allow process operator stations (POS), programming and diagnosis systems (PDDS), or other external computers to communicate with the entire control network., Primarily uses RXD (Receive), TXD (Transmit), and SGND (Signal Ground). Handshake signals (DCD, DSR, RTS, CTS) are generally provided via jumpers on external cables (like the W159) rather than implemented in the software protocols.
Signal Isolation: Provides robust electrical isolation between the PROCONTROL bus and external systems to prevent electrical faults from propagating across the network.
Redundancy Support: Compatible with redundant 24 V power supplies (USA/USB), ensuring the module remains operational even if one power source fails.
