The Allen-Bradley 1503VC-BMC4 is an IntelliVAC contactor control module for medium-voltage vacuum contactor applications. It is part of the Bulletin 1503VC IntelliVAC family, which provides scalable solutions for controlling Bulletin 1502 vacuum contactors rated at 400 A and 800 A up to 7,200 volts.
The module accepts a universal input voltage range of 110–240 V AC (50/60 Hz) or 110–250 V DC, enabling implementation across multiple applications and global power systems without requiring voltage-specific variants. Maximum idle current draw is 125 mA. Inrush current is limited to 25 A for one-half cycle. Close current duration is 200 ms with maximum close currents of 11.3 A for 400 A contactors and 4.8 A for 800 A contactors.

Anti-kiss and anti-pumping protection ensure that the vacuum contactor close–open sequence occurs as expected, avoiding rapid reclosure due to faulty control devices or contact bounce.
