The Velomitor CT Velocity Transducer is a low-frequencyversion of our standard Velomitor Piezo-velocity Sensor. Itsdesign specifically measures casing vibration velocity oncooling tower and air-cooled heat-exchanger fanassemblies that operate at or above 90 rpm (100 to 300 rpmtypical). The Velomitor CT Transducer can measure vibrationamplitudes at these frequencies as well as the vibrationfrequencies generated by the fan motor and speed reducer.
Vibration Monitoring: It measures velocity, helping to identify potential issues in fan assemblies.
Rugged Construction: Designed for demanding environments (cooling towers/heat exchangers), it features 316L stainless steel construction.
Environmental Resistance: It operates within a wide temperature range (-40°C to +85°C) and handles 100% condensing, non-submerged humidity.
Signal Integrity: It supports long cable lengths (up to 305 meters or 1,000 ft) without signal degradation.
Operational Protection: The sensor is designed to prevent false readings, with specified sensitivity of 3.94 mV/mm/s (100 mV/in/s) ±5%.
