The BENTLY NEVADA 21000-00-00-55-060-03-02 Proximity Probe Housing Assembly is an all-metal external housing to support and protect a compatible proximity probe installed through the casing of rotating machinery. The 21000 Series housing assembly can be used for applications such as shaft vibration monitoring and Keyphasor measurement.
The first configuration code, -00, specifies that no proximity probe is included. The second -00 specifies that no probe cable is included or required. This configuration therefore functions as a housing assembly intended for use with a separately selected compatible proximity probe and cable arrangement.
The -55 option specifies a 5.5 in / 140 mm standoff adapter. The standoff adapter extends the probe mounting position away from the housing body and is used when the machine casing or installation geometry requires additional spacing.

Both housings are certifiedas CSA Type 4 enclosures and are fullycompliant with the American PetroleumInstitute's (API) 670 Standard for externallymounted proximity probe housings.The 164818 Compact Proximity Probe Housing isalso available for applications with spacerestrictions. Apply thread sealant to the external 3/4-14 NPT mounting threads.Thread the entire housing assembly into the machine casing.Hand-tighten until the probe sleeve is safely inside, then thread carefully until the probe tip gently touches the shaft target. Do not over-torque when touching the shaft to avoid tip damage.
Back out the housing assembly to set your physical gap.
