Each 3300 XL extension cable includessilicone tape that you can use instead ofconnector protectors. We do not recommendsilicone tape for applications that will exposethe probe-to-extension cable connection toturbine oil.
3300 XL8 mm components are bothelectrically and physically interchangeablewith non-XL 33005 mm and8 mmcomponents. Although the packaging of the3300 XL Proximitor Sensor differs from itspredecessor, its design fits in the same 4-holemounting pattern when used with the 4-holemounting base, and will fit within the samemounting space specifications (whenminimum permissible cable bend radius isobserved).

Finger-Tight Only: Connect the cable to the probe and the Proximitor Sensor by hand until you hear or feel a "click". Do not use pliers or wrenches, as the maximum recommended torque is only 0.565 N·m (5 in·lb).
Bend Radius: Maintain a minimum bend radius of 25.4 mm (1.0 inch). Kinking or sharp bends can damage the internal coaxial structure and cause signal noise.
Connector Protection: Use connector protectors (or silicone tape in non-oil environments) for every connection to prevent moisture or oil ingress from degrading the signal.
