Description
The Bently Nevada 330101-00-16-10-01-05 is a 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Probe designed for non-contact measurement of shaft vibration, shaft position, eccentricity, and relative displacement in rotating machinery. The probe is part of the 3300 XL 8 mm Proximity Transducer System and operates with compatible extension cables and Proximitor® sensors to provide accurate machinery condition monitoring and protection. The system is widely used on steam turbines, gas turbines, compressors, pumps, motors, and generators where continuous shaft movement monitoring is required.

When combined with a 3300 XL 8mm Proximitor Sensor (330180 series) and a 330130 series extension cable, the system provides an output voltage directly proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the observed conductive surface. The system linear range is 2 mm (80 mils), with an incremental scale factor of 7.87 V/mm (200 mV/mil) and a recommended gap setting of 1.27 mm (50 mils). The system linearity is ±1% of full scale. The frequency response extends from DC to 10 kHz (+0, -3 dB) with up to 305 metres (1,000 feet) of field wiring.
The probe operates over a temperature range of -35°C to +120°C (-31°F to +248°F). The extension cable is rated from -51°C to +177°C (-60°F to +350°F). The probe demonstrates excellent environmental durability, with less than 3% variation in average scale factor after 56 days of exposure to 93% relative humidity, tested per IEC 68-2-3 standard.
