      The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System arefor areas where counter bore, sideview, or rearviewrestrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal forsmall target applications, such as measuring radial vibrationon shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flattargets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in).

      The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System design allows it toreplace both the 3300 RAM Transducer Systems and the3000-series or 7000-series 190 Transducer System.Upgradesfrom the 3300 RAM system to the 3300 XL NSv system mayuse the existing probe, extension cable, and monitoring3300 XL NSv Proximity Transducer SystemDatasheet147385 Rev.       The 3300 XL NSv Transducer System has anAverage Scale Factor of 7.87 V/mm (200mV/mil), which is the most common output foreddy current transducers. Its enhanced sideview and small target characteristics give it ashorter linear range than the Bently Nevada3300 XL-series 5 and 8 mm Transducer System.The 1.5 mm (60 mils) of linear range exceedsthe linear range of the 3000-series 190Transducer System.
       
      The 3300 NSv probe comes in varying probecase configurations, including armored andunarmored 1/4-28, 3⁄8-24, M8X1 and M10X1probe threads. The reverse mount 3300 NSvprobe comes standard with either 3⁄8-24 orM10X1 threads. All components of thetransducer system have gold-plated brassClickLoc connectors. ClickLoc connectors lockinto place and prevent the connection fromloosening. The patented TipLoc moldingmethod provides a robust bond between theprobe tip and the probe body. Bently Nevada’spatented CableLoc design provides 220 N (50lb) of pull strength and securely attaches theprobe cable to the probe tip. Connectorprotectors are recommended for use on theprobe-to-extension cable connection, as wellas on the cable-to-Proximitor Sensorconnection. Connector protectors prevent mostliquids from entering into the ClickLocconnectors and adversely affecting theelectrical signal
