The Bently Nevada 330908-00-15-10-02-05 is a 3300NSv Proximity Probe with 3/8-24 UNF thread and without armor, as a core component of the 3300XL NSv Proximity Transducer System. The 330908-00-15-10-02-05 is intended for use with centrifugal air compressors, refrigeration compressors, process gas compressors, and other machines with tight installation requirements. The primary uses for the 330908-00-15-10-02-05 are for areas where counter bore, side view, or rear view restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300XL 5mm and 8mm Transducer Systems.
The 330908-00-15-10-02-05 is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51mm (2in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15mm (0.6in). The probe case of the 330908-00-15-10-02-05 is constructed from AISI 304 stainless steel, and the probe tip is made of polyphenylene sulfide (PPS). The patented TipLoc molding method on the 330908-00-15-10-02-05 provides a robust bond between the probe tip and the probe body. The CableLoc design provides 220 N (50 lbf) of pull strength to securely attach the probe cable to the probe tip. All components of the transducer system including the 330908-00-15-10-02-05 have gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors that lock into place and prevent the connection from loosening.
The 3300 NSv probe and extension cable are mechanically and electrically compatible and interchangeable with Bently Nevada's previous 3300 RAM proximity probe and extension cable. The NSv probe has increased chemical resistance compared to the 3300 RAM probe, which allows its use in many process compressor applications. The side-view characteristics of the 3300 NSv probe are also superior to those of the 3000-series 190 probe when gapping the probe at the same distance from the probe target.
