      The EMG EVK2.11.2 is a specialized electronic control board (PCB) manufactured by EMG Automation GmbH. It serves as the "brain" for the EVK2-CP and EVM2-CP optical strip-edge and center-positioning systems used in metal processing lines.

      The EVK2.11.2 EMG Control Board may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

      The EMG EVK2.11.2 is an optical sensor control board specifically designed for industrial strip correction systems. It is powered by 24V DC and integrates CANopen bus communication. It can process non-contact edge measurement signals with high precision and has anti-interference capabilities that automatically compensate for ambient light and dust contamination. Currently, it is often replaced by the fully compatible upgraded model EVK2.11.3 during maintenance.
      Protocol: Uses a CANopen interface for digital communication with controllers like the SPC16 control amplifier.
      Short-Circuit Protection: The synchronization signal output is permanently short-circuit proof, but a sustained short-circuit of over 1 minute on the lamp output stage can lead to hardware destruction.
      Sealing: The system is rated at IP54, providing protection against dust and water splashes.
