LED indicators which give the ON-OFF status of eachpoint on the logic (PLC) side of the circuit are locatedtogether at the top of the module.The module is mechanically keyed to ensure correctreplacement with a similar type in the field. I/O references are user configurable without the use of jumpers or DIP switches on the module.
Configuration is done using the configuration function of the MS-DOS or Windows programmingsoftware running on Windows 95 or Windows NTover Ethernet TCP/IP or through the SNP port. TheProgramming Software configuration function isinstalled on the programming device. The programming device can be an IBM XT, AT, PS/2 or compatible Personal Computer.

The rating of 0.5 amp per point applies to the longterm current capacity of each point. Because of overall heat dissipation within the module, the maximumcurrent for each group of 8 outputs is limited to 2 amperes.
Each output on this module is capable of transientlyconducting a surge current which is much greaterthan its long-term current rating. The rate at whichsuch surges can be repeated depends on the currentrating of the device and the duty cycle (percent oftime the device is ON).For typical incandescent devices operating at a 50%duty cycle, the following repetition rates apply

Module Placement: The module is mechanically keyed to ensure it can only be replaced by the same module type. To remove it, grasp the board cover firmly at the top and bottom, squeeze the rack clips on the back to disengage them, and pull the board from the backplane connector.
