The IC697PWR710 is a Power supply module that is part of the Series 90-70 platform,formerly produced by GE Fanuc. This power supply module is installed to a Series 90-70 baseplate, operable at input voltages of 120 / 240 VAC or 125VDC with maximum output power of 56 Watts and output voltage of 4.90 - 5.25 VDC and nominal voltage of 5.1 VDC. It is provided with integrated overvoltage and overcurrent limit.

This Power Supply Module for the programmablecontroller is a rack-mounted unit that plugs directlyinto a 48-pin backplane-mounted connector in theleftmost slot in the rack. It provides +5 volt powerand logic level sequencing signals to the backplane.This power supply may be used either in a single rackapplication, or may also be used to provide power to asecond rack if the total load is within the supply rating. Interconnection to the second rack is through anavailable prewired cable .The power supply output will ride through a one-cycletotal loss of input power at full load. Protection is provided for overcurrent and overvoltage fault conditions.

Active power factor correction circuits in this supply maintain aunity power factor which eliminates the need foroversized circuit breakers and wiring.This power supply will also operate with a 125 VDCnominal line. It will accept a DC input voltage rangeof 100 to 150 VDC.

The power input terminal board has four terminals.The top two (L1 and N) are for 120/240 VAC or 125VDC input power connections; the third and fourthterminals are for ground and overvoltage protectiondevice connections, respectively. Power input connections should be made with copper AWG #16 (1.3mm2 ) wire rated for 75C (167F). Each terminalcan accept solid or stranded wires, but the wires intoany given terminal should be the same type and size.It is recommended that the ground terminal on thepower supply be connected to the GND terminal onthe rack and to earth using copper AWG #12 (3.3mm2 ) wire rated for 75C (167F) to ensure adequategrounding.
