The GE Fanuc IC697PWR711 is a Power Supply module that is part of the GE Fanuc Series 90-30 platform. This power supply is used can be used to power One (1) or Two (2) racks. It may be configured for 120VAC / 240VAC input dictated by the jumper setting. It has +5VDC and +/-12VDC outputs with load capacity of 100 Watts, maximum.

The 100 Watt Power Supply Module is a rack-mountedunit that plugs directly into a 48-pin backplanemounted connector in the leftmost slot in the rack. Itprovides +5 volt, +12 volt and -12 volt power, and logiclevel sequencing signals to the backplane.This power supply may be used either in a single rackapplication, or may also be used to provide power to asecond rack if the total load is within the supply rating.Interconnection to the second rack is through a prewired cable.

The power supply includes an electronic overvoltageprotection circuit. This circuit will turn the output offif the 5 volt bus exceeds 6.2 +0.5 V. The power supplymust be turned off to be reset. External overvoltageon the output that triggered the overvoltage protection will not cause the power supply fuse to open.However, if an internal fault in the power supplycaused the overvoltage condition, the fuse may open.Replace this fuse with a 3AG 3 amp, 250 volt fuse.

The specifiedrange of operation is from 90 VAC to 264 VAC, andfrom 100 VDC to 150 VDC.For continuous operation (greater than one hour) atlow line voltages and high temperatures, some powerderating must be applied. Refer to the following figure to determine the normal operating range forspecific applications. Normal operating range isshown by the shaded area of the graph for 60C(140F) installations. Operation in the non-shadedregion for specific applications must be limited to <1hour. Reducing the maximum operating temperatureto 55°C (131°F) will increase the normal operatingrange as indicated on the graph.
