The IC670MDL740 is a positive logic discrete output module that is manufactured by GE Fanuc. This module is a general-purpose output module that is installed along a Bus Interface Unit (BIU) for implementing expansion I/O solution. It is typically used to energized output devices such as pilot lamps, relay coils, solenoid actuated devices and similar devices with low current rating as the IC670MDL740 provides an output current of 0.5 Amperes per channel and a total of 4 Amperes per module at voltage output range of 10-30 VDC and nominal voltage of 24 VDC. The IC670MDL740 is designed with individual status LED indicators indicating the On / Off status of each output channel of the module.

The entire I/O group is installed with a common fuse that is also assigned with a LED indicator for depicting fuse blown status. This module generates an inrush current rated 2 Amperes, maximum with duration of 100 ms. The output channels minimum load current is 1 mA per point, output voltage drop of 0.5 Volts, output leakage current of 0.5 mA at 30 VDC and typical response time for both On and Off signal transition. The IC670MDL740 comes with integrated terminal block that is composed of 25 Terminals. Each terminal is designed for termination of a single AWG # 14 - AWG #22 wire or Two (2) wires with the use of AWG #18 wire. With an external jumper installed to this module, the permitted wire size is reduced to AWG #14 to AWG #16.
