IC200CPUE05 shares the basic features of the other VersaMax*PLC CPUs. It provides powerful PLC functionality in a small,versatile system. CPUE05 can serve as the system controller for upto 64 modules with up to 2048 I/O points. Two serial ports provideRS-232 and RS-485 interfaces for serial communications. CPUE05also provides a built-in Ethernet Interface.

Communication capabilities are extensive, featuring three embedded interfaces: one RS-232 port (Port 1 with 9-pin female D-sub connector), one RS-485 port (Port 2 with 15-pin female D-sub connector), and one Ethernet port (RJ-45, 10BaseT). The serial ports support SNP slave, RTU slave, Serial I/O, and Local Station Manager protocols, with automatic protocol switching when necessary. The RS-232 port can be forced to Local Station Manager operation using the Ethernet Restart pushbutton, providing diagnostic access to the Ethernet interface.
The built-in Ethernet interface enables communication on 10BaseT networks at 10 Mbps in half-duplex or full-duplex mode, with automatic sensing requiring no user configuration. The CPU supports up to 8 simultaneous SRTP server connections for host computer or PLC data access, and up to 32 Ethernet Global Data (EGD) exchanges for efficient periodic data transfer on the LAN. Both produced and consumed EGD exchanges can be configured, with up to 100 data ranges and 1400 bytes per exchange. The Ethernet interface also supports remote Station Manager access over UDP, EGD selective consumption, and indirect attachment to other networks via third-party IP routers.

DIN Rail: Install modules on a standard 35mm × 7.5mm steel DIN rail. The rail must be electrically grounded for EMC protection and secured with screws approximately every 15.24 cm (6 inches) to resist vibration.
