PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Sixteen guarded outputs with field wiring fault monitoring
ICS Triplex T3481A is a Regent monitored guarded output module for sixteen DC field loads arranged in two isolated groups. Independent series switches control each output, while automatic diagnostics report output circuit faults and monitor field wiring for load and fuse problems.
The module uses an external 18-36 V DC field supply. Its A-version supports a lower minimum load than the earlier version. Fault-tolerant operation requires a properly wired and configured parallel pair, with load compatibility, fault reporting and the approved maintenance procedure checked.

The shared manufacturer table specifies a 5 mA minimum load and reduced off-state leakage for T3481A. Do not copy the earlier T3481 minimum-load and leakage values. -
Can every output carry two amps at all temperatures?
No. The documented rating is 2 A at 0-40 degrees C and is derated to 1.5 A at 60 degrees C. Check the actual enclosure temperature and load duty. -
Is connecting two modules in parallel sufficient for fault tolerance?
No. Both modules require the correct Dual Mode setting, reciprocal partner assembly and slot, and matching control logic. Otherwise their output tests are not coordinated and faults are reported. -
Can a low-current load always switch completely off?
