PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Optical extension of the Trusted remote expander connection
ICS Triplex T8314 is a fibre transmitter and receiver for the Trusted expander bus. It converts the copper communication path to single-mode optical transmission, allowing the expander chassis to be separated from the controller through the documented remote-link arrangement.
A complete link uses three independent pairs of units, each with separate transmit and receive fibres. Diode-ORed 24 V DC feeds power each DIN-rail-mounted unit, and SC optical connectors provide the single-mode fibre connections.

T8314 connects the copper expander-bus path to the optical remote link. It is not an Ethernet switch, an I/O channel module or a safety-logic processor. The complete arrangement uses three independent pairs of units.
Match TC-302-01 on the controller side and TC-303-01 on the remote expander side to the approved hardware. Use the specified single-mode fibre and SC connectors; each unit has separate transmit and receive optical connections.
Install on TS32 or TS35 DIN rail and preserve the required fibre-routing clearance. Verify supply feeds, optical-path quality and propagation timing before commissioning. The expander interface and processor provide communication diagnostics; the unit has no local diagnostic service.
