PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Forty output terminations arranged in five power groups
ICS Triplex T8850C is a Trusted field termination assembly for analogue or digital output circuits. It connects the documented output module and cable to forty two-wire field loops, arranged as five separately powered groups containing eight channels each.
Five isolated groups provide eight output connections each, with screw-clamp terminals for field wiring and power. Onboard LEDs indicate field-supply condition, and the SmartSlot connection supports the documented spare-output-module arrangement. Output generation remains within the connected I/O module.

Does T8850C generate analogue or digital output signals?
No. It is the field termination interface for the documented output module and cable. It routes the output signals to two-wire field connections; the associated module determines the output function. -
Can 60 Vdc be connected directly to the ordinary supply terminals?
No. Above 32 Vdc, RM452 note 3 prohibits positive field-supply connections to P1 pins 1, 3, 5, 7 and 9. Positive connections must follow the documented T8290 output-distribution arrangement. The 60 Vdc maximum is conditional, not blanket permission for direct wiring. -
Are all forty channels independently isolated?
No. The channels are arranged in five power groups of eight. The specification states there is no channel-to-channel isolation within a power group. Review the complete isolation table for the actual circuit design. -
Does this termination assembly contain output fuses?
The manufacturer specification lists no on-board fusing. Verify the protection provided by the selected output module and approved external circuit. Do not copy the fuse rating from an input FTA. -
Which output modules are documented?
RM452 identifies T8451 digital output, T8461 digital output and T8480 analogue output arrangements. Each requires its corresponding cable and field design; listing these families is not an unrestricted interchangeability statement. -
Can the T8461 path connect directly to a hazardous area?

Is JDH1 always used for a standby connection?
