High Feature station control with active-backplane capability
The Siemens 6ES7155-5AA00-0AC0 is the IM 155-5 PN HF interface for ET 200MP electronic modules. It supports up to twelve I/O modules without an additional system power supply, or thirty with the documented supplementary power arrangement.
This High Feature interface combines a two-port RJ45 switch with shared-device, isochronous and redundancy functions. Operation with an active backplane is supported from firmware V4.4, enabling the documented hot-swapping arrangement rather than making every conventional station suitable for live module exchange.
