Siemens 6ES7288-1CR30-0AA1 is the SIMATIC S7-200 SMART CPU CR30s AC/DC/Relay. Eighteen 24 V DC digital inputs and twelve dry-contact relay outputs support a compact hardwired control task. The CPU includes one RS485 port, 12 KB program memory and 8 KB user data memory.

Siemens states that compact serial CPUs disable Freeport when a USB-PPI cable is connected and inhibit switching to Freeport while it remains connected. Plan the service connection as an interruption to the application serial link. -
Can the same RS485 port serve a Freeport instrument and an HMI simultaneously?
