A VM600Mk2/VM600 ABE04x system rack with twoRPS6U power supplies installed can operateredundantly (that is, with rack power supplyredundancy) for a full rack of modules (cards).This means that if one RPS6U fails, the other willprovide 100% of the rack’s power requirement sothat the rack will continue to operate, therebyincreasing the availability of the machinerymonitoring system.Note: This is known as a redundant RPS6U rackpower supply configuration.A VM600Mk2/VM600 ABE04x system rack with twoRPS6U power supplies installed can also operatenon-redundantly (that is, without rack powersupply redundancy). Typically, this is onlynecessary for a full rack of modules (cards) inapplications with operating temperatures above50°C (122°F), where RPS6U output power deratingis required.
