Each 3300 XL 8 mm Transducer System component isbackward compatible and interchangeable4 with other nonXL 3300 series 5 mm and 8 mm transducer systemcomponents5. This compatibility includes the 3300 5 mmprobe, for applications in which an 8 mm probe is too largefor the available mounting space
The 3300 XL probe and extension cable alsoreflect improvements over previous designs. Apatented TipLoc molding method provides amore robust bond between the probe tip andthe probe body. The probe’s cable incorporatesa patented CableLoc design that provides 330N (75 lbf) pull strength to more securely attachthe probe cable and probe tip.You can also order 3300 XL 8 mm probes andextension cables with an optional FluidLoccable option. This option prevents oil and otherliquids from leaking out of the machine throughthe cable’s interior.

Field Wiring: Use 3-conductor shielded triad cable (16 to 24 AWG) for the run between the Proximitor sensor and the monitor.
Grounding: Follow a single-point grounding strategy.
Ground the system only at the monitor panel.
Do not ground the probe body or cable shield at the machine/sensor end to avoid ground loops.
Cable Routing: Maintain at least 12 inches (30 cm) of separation from AC power lines or motor leads to prevent electromagnetic interference (EMI).
