The 330190-085-00-05 is a 3300XL Extended Temperature Range (ETR) Extension Cable that serves as an integral component of the 3300XL 8mm Proximity Transducer System, providing a reliable electrical connection between the 3300XL 8mm probe and the 3300XL Proximitor Sensor in high-temperature applications. The cable uses a 75 Ω triaxial construction with FEP (Fluoroethylene Propylene) insulation, providing high electrical parameter stability across the full operating temperature range. The ETR variant extends the upper temperature limit to +260 °C (+500 °F), compared to +177 °C (+350 °F) for standard cables. The lower temperature limit remains at –52 °C (–62 °F).
The 8.5-meter cable length is factory-calibrated to pair with a 0.5-meter probe, forming a 9.0-meter total measurement circuit. This precise electrical length ensures the Proximitor sensor output maintains its specified linear sensitivity without distortion. The cable carries CSA, ATEX, and IECEx hazardous area approvals, making it suitable for use in classified industrial environments.
Gold-plated brass ClickLoc connectors are used at both ends. The male connector mates with the probe's female connector; the female connector mates with the Proximitor sensor's male connector. Connector protectors are recommended to prevent liquid ingress at the junction points. Silicone tape is included with each cable for sealing connections; this is not recommended for applications exposing the probe-to-extension cable junction to turbine oil.
