PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
Cabinet roof exhaust with an eight-fan ventilation assembly
ICS Triplex T8271 is a roof-mounted fan tray for exhausting air above a cabinet containing Trusted equipment. Eight fans lie horizontally in a chassis supported within a roof cowl. The documented arrangement normally uses one roof tray for each cabinet bay.
Eight fans are arranged in separately supplied groups using two 24 V DC feeds. The roof-mounted tray exhausts air from the cabinet bay; the specified IP20 protection applies when the roof cowl is fitted.

TRUSTED EQUIPMENT
Match T8271 to the documented Trusted configuration
T8271 exhausts air above a Trusted equipment cabinet. The eight-fan roof arrangement complements the approved cabinet ventilation design and receives dual feeds through the specified fan cable. Its stated IP20 condition requires the roof cowl to be fitted.
Match the approved roof mounting and cowl; IP20 is stated only with the cowl fitted. Check both nominal 24 V feeds and 500 mA anti-surge protection for each four-fan group.
Verify the approved downstream population, exhaust route and stated operating environment.
Features:
- Eight horizontally mounted fans
- Cabinet roof exhaust position
- Two separately fused fan groups
The ICS Triplex T8271 trusted roof-mounted fan tray requires the appropriate mounting, connections and configuration to be verified before system integration and commissioning.
INTERCHANGEABILITY
Verify the complete replacement identity before commissioning
Record the complete T8271 identity and compare its hardware revision with the installed item. Match T8271, the cabinet roof mounting, cowl, dual feeds and approved fan-chain population. Shared fan type or voltage does not make it interchangeable with the rack tray; confirm the actual supplied cowl and fixing arrangement separately.
Match the approved roof mounting and cowl; IP20 is stated only with the cowl fitted. Verify the approved downstream population, exhaust route and stated operating environment.
Use the controlled manufacturer procedure and the approved maintenance plan. The IP20 statement is conditional on the fitted roof cowl. Neither the uncovered fan tray nor a different cabinet arrangement inherits that claim automatically.
Features:
- Complete order identity retained
- Companion equipment and configuration checked
- No unconditional substitution claim
The ICS Triplex T8271 trusted roof-mounted fan tray requires replacement verification against the complete installed configuration and current manufacturer documentation.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Questions buyers ask about T8271
Direct answers about identity, compatibility, stock, warranty, payment and shipping.
-
Where is T8271 installed in the cabinet?
It is the roof-mounted fan tray for exhausting air above a cabinet containing Trusted equipment. The manual describes one roof tray per cabinet bay, with eight horizontal fans supported within a roof cowl. -
Is IP20 unconditional for the bare tray?
No. The manufacturer states IP20 with the roof cowl fitted. Verify the correct cowl and actual assembly; do not apply this condition to an uncovered tray or an unverified alternative installation. -
How does the supply differ from the rack fan tray?
T8271 uses dual nominal 24 V feeds, each serving four fans through 500 mA anti-surge protection. Use its own manual; the four-fan rack tray has a different group size and fuse value. -
Is 69 m3/h the combined output of all eight fans?
No. The description explicitly assigns this airflow to each fan at nominal 3100 rpm. The manual does not establish a measured whole-cabinet airflow or a cooling guarantee for an arbitrary installation. -
Which noise figure applies to the eight-fan assembly?
The specification table lists 41 dB for eight fans. The overview separately gives 32 dB per fan. Keep those scopes distinct; neither figure is a site-specific cabinet noise measurement. -
Which fan cable and supply arrangement are specified?
The documented connection uses TC-011-01 from the T8292 distribution unit. A fully populated rack is described as five fan trays with an optional roof fan unit and cowl; verify that maximum arrangement before extending a fan chain. -
Does the 2.9 kg value include packaging?
The value is the equipment weight in the manufacturer specification, not a documented shipping gross weight. Packed dimensions, packaging materials and shipment mass must be checked separately. -
Is the roof cowl automatically included in a supplied spare?
Do not assume that. The cowl is part of the documented installation condition, but the actual spare, cowl and fixing items must be identified in the quotation and matched to the installed cabinet.
