8502-BI-DP-01 PROFIBUS-DP bus interface module
MTL 8502-BI-DP-01 is a bus interface module in the MTL8000 distributed I/O family for connecting compatible I/O modules to a PROFIBUS-DP host. The documented 8502-BI-DP family supports up to twenty-four I/O modules and exchanges process and diagnostic data with the host controller.
The bus interface operates as a PROFIBUS slave through an isolated RS-485 connection, with communication rates up to 6 Mbaud. Cyclic telegrams can contain analog and digital values together with HART process and status information. Nonvolatile configuration storage, configurable data mapping and extended module and channel diagnostics support the documented MTL8000 node arrangement.
