The 9468-ET is designed for Zone 2 hazardous-area mountinginside a suitable enclosure and has intrinsically safe ATEX andIECEx approvals, together with IS approval for USA and Canada. FMDivision 2 mounting approval is pending. The ATEX and IECExapprovals cover both surface industry and mining applications.
The 9468-ET MTL Intrinsically Safe EthernetIsolator may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The module operates from a single supply in the Safe Area of20…30Vdc at approx. 220mA.Transparent operation - 10/100Mbps, Full/Half Duplex with AutoNegotiation. Supports IEEE 802.3: 10Base-T and 100Base-TX.The module is supplied as a DIN-rail mounting device.

Alternatively, it can be flat-panel mounted using two M3.5 screws.Enclosure: For Zone 2 mounting, it must be placed inside an enclosure providing at least IP6x protection (dust-tight).Clearance: Ensure adequate height off the rail—approximately 106mm—to accommodate connectors.Labeling: After installation, use an indelible marker to tick the appropriate box on the product label indicating if it is mounted in a "Safe Area" or "Zone 2".
