Four NAMUR inputs with configurable contact monitoring
Siemens 6ES7131-4RD02-0AB0 is an ET 200S digital electronics module with four inputs for NAMUR sensors and documented mechanical contact arrangements. It provides an 8.2 V DC sensor supply and transfers input signals together with their validity information.
Parameter settings select the sensor type, pulse stretching and chatter monitoring. Diagnostic options cover wiring and sensor-supply conditions within the supported circuit types. The four inputs serve NAMUR sensors and defined mechanical-contact circuits. The selected sensor type determines the correct resistor arrangement and diagnostic interpretation.
Input signals and their validity states occupy two process-image bytes. The application logic must account for both the state and its validity rather than using an invalid signal as normal process information.
Chatter monitoring and pulse stretching are configurable. Changeover-contact pairs are checked against a fixed 300 ms switching allowance, with paired-channel behavior defined by the manual.
