One analog measurement channel in the CPU signal-board position
Siemens 6ES7288-5AE01-0AA0 adds one differential analog input to the signal-board position of a supported S7-200 SMART CPU. Select voltage measurement at ±10 V, ±5 V or ±2.5 V, or current measurement at 0 to 20 mA.
The board combines configurable smoothing with selectable noise rejection for a single measurement channel. Its input has no field-to-logic isolation, so signal and common-mode limits must be checked together. Siemens shows an external 24 V supply for the current-transducer examples. The board is not isolated from logic; signal and common-mode voltage must therefore be reviewed together rather than considering only the nominal measuring range.
Smoothing and rejection frequency determine how the channel processes the incoming measurement. Keep the selected settings with the project, review overflow/underflow handling and use the gold connector specified by Siemens. The duplicate AI0+ terminal labels in the original pin table do not increase the channel count.
