The Bently Nevada 330104-05-10-50-02-05 3300 XL 8 mm Probe is a high-performance proximity sensor engineered for continuous monitoring of shaft vibration and position in critical rotating machinery. Utilizing proven eddy-current sensing technology, the probe provides a voltage output proportional to the distance between the probe tip and the conductive target surface, enabling accurate measurement of both static and dynamic shaft movement. The 3300 XL 8 mm system is recognized for its measurement accuracy, thermal stability, and full compliance with API 670 requirements.

This configuration features an M10 × 1 threaded stainless-steel probe body with a 50 mm unthreaded section, a 100 mm overall case length, and a 5-meter armored cable assembly. The stainless-steel armor protects the cable from abrasion, vibration, and mechanical stress while maintaining signal integrity in harsh industrial environments. The probe incorporates a miniature coaxial ClickLoc™ connector that provides a secure connection to compatible extension cables and Proximitor® sensors.

The probe tip material is polyphenylene sulfide (PPS), molded to the probe body using a patented TipLoc method that provides a robust bond. The probe case is constructed from AISI 303 or 304 stainless steel. A Viton® O-ring provides effective differential pressure sealing between the probe tip and case. The maximum thread engagement is 0.375 inches. The probe is supplied with a standard 13 mm or 7/16-inch lock nut and two M4 × 0.7-6H or 8-32 UNC-2B mounting screws with pre-drilled safety wire holes.
 
Electrical connection is provided by a miniature coaxial ClickLoc connector with a connector protector pre-installed. The ClickLoc connector requires only finger-tight torque and features a locking mechanism that prevents loosening without special tools. The connector material is gold-plated brass or gold-plated beryllium copper for corrosion resistance. A removable collar on the probe lead facilitates routing the cable through tight clearances. The connector maximum diameter is 7.23 mm (0.285 in).
