Description
The Bently Nevada 3500/25 Enhanced Keyphasor Module isa half-height, two-channel module used to provideKeyphasor signals to the monitor modules in a 3500 rack. Themodule receives input signals from proximity probes ormagnetic pickups and converts the signals to digitalKeyphasor signals that indicate when the Keyphasor mark onthe shaft coincides with the Keyphasor transducer. The 3500Machinery Protection System can accept up to fourKeyphasor signals for normal configuration and up to eightKeyphasor signals in a paired configuration

The Bently Nevada 3500/25 offers expanded Keyphasor signal processing capabilities over the previous module while maintaining complete downward compatibility in terms of form, fit, and function with existing Keyphasor modules for use in legacy systems. The Keyphasor module PWA 125792-01 is completely replaced by the updated 149369-01.
The 3500/25 149369-01 Bently Nevada Enhanced Keyphasor Module may still be available for purchase and support from Amikon Limited beyond End-Of-Life (EOL) by the manufacturer (OEM).

The Bently Nevada 3500/25 generates once-per-turn event signals from multi-event-per-turn inputs. The Bently Nevada 3500/25 supports field-upgradeable firmware. The Bently Nevada 3500/25 provides asset management data reporting. These enhanced product features expand the functionality of the module beyond the capabilities of the original Keyphasor module.
The Bently Nevada 3500/25 supports up to four Keyphasor signals for normal configuration and up to eight Keyphasor signals in a paired configuration. When a system Keyphasor input is required for Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) applications, the 3500 system employs two Keyphasor modules. In this configuration, the modules work in parallel to provide both a primary and secondary Keyphasor signal to the other modules in the rack.

Internal Terminations: Field wiring from proximity probes or magnetic pickups connects directly to terminal blocks on the I/O module at the rear of the rack.
External Terminations (ET): Used when you want to terminate field wiring at a separate terminal block in a cabinet. You must use specific Bently Nevada cables to connect the I/O module to the ET block.
Isolated I/O: Recommended for magnetic pickups or when signals are shared between multiple devices. These modules provide isolation to prevent electrical interference but may introduce a slight phase shift.

A system with more than four Keyphasor inputsmay usea paired configuration provided thereare no more than four primary Keyphasor inputsignals.A paired configuration requires twoconsecutive monitoring positions in either theupper/lower or both half-slot positions. FourKeyphasor modules will accept four primaryand four backup input channels and providefour output channels (one per module).Aconfiguration of two paired and one nonpaired (three Keyphasor modules total) is alsopossible.
