The IC693PWR321 module is fully compatible with any CPU model. The power supply module is certified by the cULus, and CE standards. It has been designed to work in a Class 1 Division 2 rated environment. The IC693PWR321 module comes with power supply limiting feature that protects the hardware immediately when there is a direct short. The power supply unit is equipped with 6 terminals for operator connections. It comes with an enhanced diagnostics feature that tracks all events and updates for the operators. A smart switch fusing is built inside the power supply device as a protection measure. For communication, the IC693PWR321 module is equipped with an RS-485 serial port. The serial port can be used to connect to different peripheral devices and a CPU/computer.
The GE IC693PWR321 power supply module includes several critical protection functions designed to safeguard the PLC hardware from electrical faults and ensure stable system operation.
Overvoltage Protection: For the +5 VDC logic output, the protection circuit triggers when the voltage reaches between 6.4V and 7V. This prevents high-voltage spikes from damaging sensitive internal circuitry.
Short-Circuit Protection: The module features a current-limiting mechanism that senses short circuits internally. When a short is detected, the supply shuts down and will typically attempt to automatically reset and restart once the fault is removed.
Placement: Must be seated in the dedicated power supply slot on the far left of the rack.
Terminal Connections:
L1 (Hot): Top screw terminal for AC input.
L2 (Neutral): Second screw terminal from the top.
Ground: Connected at the designated jumpered area below the power inputs.
External 24V DC: A 24V DC positive output (max 0.8A) is available on the top of the two lower screws
