The ICS Triplex T8151B Trusted Communications Interface (CI) is a high-performance, fault-tolerant module for TMR Trusted Controllers. It manages communication loads, supporting dual Ethernet and four serial ports (RS-232/422/485). It facilitates Modbus, Trusted Peer-to-Peer, and Sequence of Events (SOE) logging, operating at 20–32 Vdc.
Triple Modular Redundancy (TMR) Integrity: The module uses a triplicated Inter-Module Bus (IMB) with 2-out-of-3 (2oo3) voting. This ensures that even if one internal path fails, the data remains consistent and the system stays online.
Redundant Power Supply: The T8151B operates on dual redundant +24 Vdc power feeds from the chassis backplane. An on-board Power Supply Unit (PSU) provides supply conditioning and protection against voltage fluctuations (supporting 20–32 Vdc).
Sequence of Events (SOE) Logging: The module includes an optional SOE buffer that logs up to 4,000 timestamped events. This is critical for forensic analysis and "fault tracing" in safety-critical applications.
