Description
The 6SX7010-0FF05 is a CBP2 PROFIBUS DP communication board from the Siemens SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES product family. It enables integration of SIMOVERT MASTERDRIVES vector control and motion control drives into PROFIBUS DP automation networks.
The CBP2 board supports the extended functionality of PROFIBUS DP, including flexible configuration of cyclic messages, slave-to-slave communication between drives, and operation of SIMATIC operator panels as PROFIBUS DP master class 2 devices. The board is fully backward compatible with the original CBP board and replaces it in all applications.
Data transmission rates range from 9.6 kbit/s to 12 Mbit/s with automatic baud rate detection. The board supports PPO (Parameter Process data Object) telegram types 1 through 5, allowing flexible allocation of process data (PZD) and parameter data (PKW) within the cyclic telegram. Up to 16 PZD words can be transferred in each direction for real-time control and status exchange, plus 4 PKW words for non-cyclic parameter access.
