Description
The Yokogawa VF702 is a control bus interface card designed for the CENTUM VP distributed control system. It installs into a PCI-Express slot (x1 to x16) of a PC/AT compatible computer, providing a 1 Gbps full-duplex Ethernet connection to the Vnet/IP control bus. The card communicates via CAT5e UTP cable with an RJ45 connector, supporting a maximum distance of 100 meters to a Layer 2 switch.
The VF702 replaces the legacy VF701 control bus interface card, which used a PCI interface. The VF702 and VI702 share the same PCI-Express form factor and driver architecture, allowing coexistence with VI701 cards on the same bus. The card features three status indicators: RDY (ready), RCV (receive), and SND (send).
