The Bently Nevada 330881-28-00-050-03-02 PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer, Metric is a completely self-contained proximity probe system for machinery condition monitoring applications. 330881 integrates the proximity probe, housing, and 3300XL Proximitor sensor into a single assembly, eliminating the need for an extension cable between the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor. This integrated design of 330881 also eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, as the field wiring connects directly between the monitors and the PROXPAC XL assembly.
330881 is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), an advanced molded thermoplastic material that replaces the steel and aluminum used in previous Bently Nevada housing designs. The PPS material of 330881 incorporates glass fibers for structural strength and conductive fibers for effective electrostatic charge dissipation. This replaces the steel and aluminum used in previous 31000/32000 housing designs, providing enhanced electrostatic charge dissipation while maintaining structural integrity. The housing carries an IP66 and NEMA Type 4X rating, verified by BASEFFA report T07/0709, for protection against dust ingress and high-pressure water jets.
The integrated Proximitor sensor eliminates the need for a separate extension cable between the probe and the signal conditioning electronics, and removes the requirement for an external Proximitor housing. Field wiring connects directly between the monitoring system and the PROXPAC XL assembly.
