The 3300 XL High Temperature ProximitySystem is used to protect and manage criticalmachines in your facility for increased safetyand efficiency. It is also used for mode shapeanalysis when measurements are taken at theturbine mid-span location. Mode shapeanalysis is important for research anddevelopment of a new steam or gas turbinedesign or when troubleshooting an existingdesign. Mode identification probes providelateral mode shape information which isextremely valuable for balancing rotatingmachinery and identifying faults such as shaftcracks, bearing failures, rotor-to-stator rubsand other machine problems.
The Bently Nevada 330380-90-00 is a 3300 XL 16mm High Temperature Proximitor Sensor designed for non-contacting proximity measurements in extreme environments. Its primary function is to convert the physical distance (gap) between a probe and a target into a proportional voltage signal, which is then used by monitoring systems for critical machine protection.
Vibration Monitoring: Measures dynamic displacement of shafts on fluid-film bearing machines to identify faults like shaft cracks, bearing failures, and rotor-to-stator rubs.
Position Sensing (Thrust): Monitors static axial position to prevent catastrophic machine damage from shaft-to-bearing contact.
