The Bently Nevada 330173-00-02-20-02-05 is a 3300 5 mm proximity probe. This sensor is used for vibration and displacement monitoring in industrial machinery by measuring the gap between the probe tip and a target. The 3300 5 mm probe improves upon previous designs. Apatented TipLoc molding method provides a more robustbond between the probe tip and the probe body.

The 3300 5mm system is orderable with Fluidloc cable options forpreventing oil and other liquids from leaking out of themachine through the cable’s interior.

When combined with a 3300 XL Proximitor Sensor and XLextension cable, the system provides an output voltage thatis directly proportional to the distance between the probe tipand the observed conductive surface. The system canmeasure both static (position) and dynamic (vibration) data.Its primary use is in vibration and position measurementapplications on fluid-film bearing machines, as well asKeyphasor measurement and speed measurementapplications

The 5 mm probe doesnot, however, reduce the sideviewclearances or tip-to-tip spacingrequirements as compared to an XL 8mm probe. Use the 5 mm probe whenphysical (not electrical) constraintspreclude the use of an 8 mm probe,such as mounting between thrustbearing pads or other constrainedspaces. When your application requiresnarrow sideview probes, use the 3300 XLNSv probe and extension cable with the3300 XL NSv Proximitor Sensor (refer toSpecifications and Ordering Informationp/n 147385-01).
