The Bently Nevada 330880-28-15-042-00-02 is a PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer Assembly for machinery condition monitoring in demanding industrial environments. The 330880-28-15-042-00-02 is a completely self-contained proximity probe system, with its own 3300XL Proximitor sensor integrated into the housing cover. The 330880-28-15-042-00-02 eliminates the need for an extension cable between the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor, and also eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, as field wiring connects directly between the monitors and the PROXPAC XL assembly.

The PROXPAC XL is a self-contained proximity transducer system that integrates a 3300 XL 8 mm proximity probe with 1.0 meter integral cable and a 3300 XL Proximitor sensor within a single housing assembly. This design eliminates the need for a separate extension cable between the probe and proximitor, and removes the requirement for a dedicated proximitor housing. Field wiring connects directly between the monitors and the PROXPAC XL assembly.

The housing is constructed from Polyphenylene Sulfide (PPS), an advanced molded thermoplastic incorporating glass and conductive fibers for structural strength and electrostatic charge dissipation. This material replaces the steel and aluminum used in previous Bently Nevada housing designs. The housing is rated for Type 4X and IP66 environments, providing protection against dust, water ingress, and hose-directed water. Impact testing certifies the housing to withstand 4 Joule impacts at temperature extremes (-39°C to 115°C) and 7 Joules at ambient temperature.
The 3300 XL 8 mm probe installed in the sleeve provides a linear measurement range of 2.0 mm (80 mils) with an incremental scale factor of 7.87 mV/μm (200 mV/mil) and deviation from best fit straight line of less than ±23 μm. The recommended gap setting is 1.27 mm (50 mils). The system accepts a -17.5 Vdc to -26 Vdc power supply at 12 mA maximum consumption without barriers, or -23 Vdc to -26 Vdc with barriers. Output resistance is 50 Ω.
