The design of the PROXPAC XL Proximity Transducer Assemblyis similar to our 31000/32000 Proximity Probe HousingAssemblies. The assembly offers the same advantages andfeatures as the 31000 and 32000 housings for accessing andexternally adjusting proximity probes. However, the housingcover of the PROXPAC XL Assembly also contains its own 3300XL Proximitor sensor. This design makes the PROXPAC XLAssembly a completely self-contained proximity probesystem, and eliminates the need for an extension cablebetween the probe and its associated Proximitor sensor. Italso eliminates the need for a separate Proximitor housing, asthe field wiring connects directly between the monitors andPROXPAC XL Assemblies.

The PROXPAC XL housing is made of Polyphenylene Sulfide(PPS), which is an advanced, molded thermoplastic. Thismaterial replaces the steel and aluminum in previoushousings offered in the Bently Nevada product line. It alsoincorporates glass and conductive fibers in the PPS tostrengthen the housing and more effectively dissipateelectrostatic charges. The PROXPAC XL housing is rated forType 4X and for IP66 environments and provides extraprotection in severe environments.

Mounting Location: Install the assembly on a stable part of the machine. It uses a 3/4-14 NPT mounting thread (option -02).
Standoff & Penetration: This model includes a 40 mm standoff adapter (-04) and a 90 mm probe penetration (-090). Ensure these match your machine's casing depth.
Gap Setting: The recommended standard gap setting is 1.27 mm (50 mils).
Linear Range: Accurate measurements occur within a linear range of approximately 2 mm (80 mils), starting from 0.25 mm (10 mils) away from the target.
