The primary uses for the 3300 XL NSv Transducer System are for areas where counter bore, sideview or rearview restrictions limit the use of standard Bently Nevada 3300 and 3300 XL 5 and 8 mm Transducer Systems. It is also ideal for small target applications, such as measuring radial vibration on shafts smaller than 51 mm (2 in) or axial position on flat targets smaller than 15 mm (0.6 in). It is primarily used in the following applications on fluid-filmed bearing machines where a small shaft or reduced side-view is present:
• Radial vibration and radial position measurements
• Axial (thrust) position measurements
• Tachometer and zero speed measurements
• Phase reference (Keyphasor) signals.
- Small Shaft Vibration Monitoring:Ideal for shafts <51 mm to avoid interference/gapping issues
- Radial Vibration and Position:Measures side-to-side shaft movement for wear/imbalance detection.
- Axial (Thrust) Position:Monitors longitudinal movement on flat targets ≥15 mm to prevent collisions
- Speed and Phase Reference:Tachometer/Keyphasor for speed & zero-speed detection
- Restricted Space Installations:Designed for counter bore, side-view or rear-view restrictions

Connectors: The probe uses ClickLoc connectors. When connecting to an extension cable, tighten them by hand only; do not use pliers.
Field Wiring: Use three-conductor shielded triad cable (16 to 24 AWG). The maximum distance between the Proximitor sensor and the monitor is 305 meters (1,000 feet).
Grounding: Proper earthing is required, especially for the "CN" version used in hazardous areas to prevent electrostatic buildup.
